Welcome To The Family Resource Centers Of Wyoming
The Family Resource Centers are a partnership between Natrona County School District and Mercer House, Inc., and are located at 920 S. Beverly. In the old Casper Classical Academy building behind Frontier Middle School.
We are dedicated to encouragement, enrichment, and personal fulfillment within the family unit. Our family advocates focus on strengthening families by connecting them to community resources. Referrals are available for various needs, including emergency assistance, housing, parenting, education, and mental health services.
The Centers provide weekly mailings and monthly workshops to address parental concerns. Topics include Peer Pressure, Bullying, Drugs and Alcohol, Financial Management, Internet Safety, and Summer Safety. In addition, various community agencies utilize the Centers for their own programming, including parenting classes.
The Family Resource Centers also offer incentive programs. The Passport to Success is a reward program for parents with children in Natrona County School District. The goal is to reward parental involvement in children's education. Parents receive a passport book, which they take to family and school-related events to get stamps and signatures. Collecting five stamps earns the family a board game, like Sorry, Clue, Operation, or Life. Ten stamps earns a prize worth $50, and twenty stamps earns a $100 prize.
The Centers are available to all families in the district. For more information on our programs and services, call or stop by today!
